TOWN OF DICKINSON

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Dickinson on November 3, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 531 Old Front Street, Binghamton, NY, to consider a new fire protection contract with the Village of Port Dickinson, on behalf of the Port Dickinson Fire Company, Inc., for Fire Protection District No. 3.

Said contract shall be for fire protection to the Town of Dickinson Fire Protection District 3 upon the following general terms:

(a) Port Dickinson Fire Company, Inc. shall answer and attend all fire calls in its Fire Protection District.

(b) For such services, the Village of Port Dickinson, on behalf of Port Dickinson Fire Company, Inc., shall be paid $35,516 for 2026, $36,936 for 2027, and $38,414 for 2028.

(c) Port Dickinson Fire Company, Inc. shall insure all of its equipment against all liability and shall protect the Town of Dickinson from liability for any accident in which any fire company vehicle or equipment may be involved.

(d) Port Dickinson Fire Company, Inc.’s contract shall continue until December 31, 2028 (3 years).

(e) Such other incidental terms as may be necessary or proper.

Interested persons shall be entitled to be heard upon said proposed contract. Persons with disabilities who require assistance in attending said public hearing, or in furnishing comments and suggestions, should contact the undersigned to request such assistance. Communications in writing in relation thereto may be filed with the Town Board prior to the public hearing.
